I've kept myself busy by meeting amazing people, seeing incredible films (I've seen more films in these two weeks than I have all year), visiting the touristy sites and soaking up the vibrant atmosphere.

LA Life

I’ve spent two incredible weeks in LA and it has been everything I dreamed of and more.  It definitely leaves London in the cold, dark (and wet) shadows.

One of my favourite places in LA so far is the Sunday Farmers Market just off Melrose.  I’ve stopped by every weekend and so far the Cantaloupe Melon juice has been my standout favourite!  Sundays now just don’t feel right without having one!

There’s also the freshest and juiciest fruit to indulge in, beautiful flower stands, delicious cakes, cookies, pasta and even some fashion!

Last weekend West Hollywood played host to Gay Pride and the area couldn’t have been more vibrant and fun.  The parade on Sunday was a true spectacle!

And then I was reminded of home.  Got to love Patsy and Eddie from Ab Fab making an appearance!

I’ve been trying to do as much celeb spotting as possible and seeing Channing Tatum on the Magic Mike XXL float was a definite highlight.

I love these parents and the message they chose to share.  While Pride is predominantly about fun, laughter and frivolity there is an important underlying message and I hope more and more parents (and people in general) will be as accepting and loving as these two.

Brunch is a big deal here and I’ve already found my favourite spot which is rather aptly named Little Doms.  Be sure to order a side of the most delicious potatoes and ask for them extra crunchy!

Hiking is an exercise staple in LA and I can see why.  The scenery is truly breathtaking plus getting to see the Hollywood sign up close is an obvious must.

Above all I’ve been truly lucky to meet plenty of wonderful people and make some great friends.  They have helped make this adventure better than I could ever of expected.
