It is time to put my credit cards away for a few months and pay down the ample bills headed onto my doormat! My bank balance can't handle anymore, nor my wardrobe and my flat is drowning in empty boxes and bags!
Now that the sales are slowly coming to an end (the biggies, Harrods and Selfridges ended yesterday). I think it is only fitting to bring you my FINAL instalment of sales, sales, sales.
It is time to put my credit cards away for a few months and pay down the ample bills headed onto my doormat! My bank balance can’t handle anymore, nor my wardrobe and my flat is drowning in empty boxes and bags!
My final big splurge was at the infamous Harrods 10% weekend. As I worked my way up to the first floor I was thinking – I must not buy shoes, shoes are the last thing I need! Unlesssss they are a pair of super high nude patent heels – that is the ONLY pair I can justify! Literally as I walk off the escalators and into the shoe department I saw a gorgeous pair of Prada patent nude Mary Janes. It probably isn’t an exaggeration to say I sprinted over to them, knocking over my fellow shoppers on the way. I had actually tried these on full price but couldn’t justify them but at 50% off I practically pleaded with the sales assistant to have them in my size. She did… Success!
I really didn’t need anymore shoes but somehow I was meandering my way to Christian Louboutin. I’m not even that big a fan of Louboutin! I find a number of his designs, especially recently, a bit ostentatious and a little chavtastic. Having said that I was struck by a pair I had liked presale. Yes they had my size and surprisingly they weren’t hideously uncomfortable. Purchase 2 was in the bag.
Finally I was distracted by some sparkly Giuseppe Zanotti summer sandals. They were the last pair available and in my size, it would have been rude not to! I’d scored pair of shoes number 3!
I know the sales encourage you to buy things you wouldn’t necessarily normally purchase. However, getting something you wanted full price for 50% off is the best natural high a fashionista can get and such a fabulous feeling. You’d be surprised how much goes into the sale, you just need to be patient. So in conclusion to my sales, sales, sales posts hold out for those seasonal SALESSSS!! I promise you it’s worth it!
