One of the many wonderful perks about blogging is getting invited to some fab events by really great brands.  Probably one of the most frequently asked questions I receive is what is it like to attend these great launches and events, so I thought it would be fun to start sharing a few of the best with you.

When an invite from Danone pinged into my inbox to celebrate the launch of their new Light and Free yoghurt I knew immediately it was a must go.  So last Thursday morning I headed over to Frame in Shoreditch (in the nicest Uber ever), although of course, typical London traffic meant I arrived fashionably late.

The day began with a quick talk about what made the new Danone Light and Free yoghurt special but to be honest they had me 0% fat and 0% added sugar.  We then got to watch the world premier of the advert which set the tone for the rest of the morning; have a quick watch of it and you’ll see what I mean.

Shortly afterwards we were whisked off into two groups for two separate activities.  I was labelled one of the blueberries which meant we were off to have our photos taken first.  The aim of the shoot was to mimic the advert and create a photo in which our shadow is off on its own doing it’s own crazy thing!

Here are a few of the finished results in case you’re wondering what an earth I’m talking about.  I assure you I was pretty bemused by it to begin with too but in the end I LOVED the results and shooting it couldn’t have been more fun!

Between activities we got to mingle and meet Binky from Made In Chelsea, who has been working closely with Danone.  She was as lovely and warm off camera as she is on.  I was really impressed by how she made the effort to talk to everyone about anything and everything from her career to makeup to our blogs.

Soon we were rounded up for our second activity and it was time to get our sweat on!  We had a 30 minute rebound class which involved jumping on mini trampolines to some pumping music.  To be honest I was left pretty tired after a minute of jumping on the main trampoline for the shoot, so the exercise-phobe in me was very apprehensive.

As it turns out it was one of the most fun workouts I’ve done and in half hour stints it’s surprisingly doable.  Frame has locations in Shoreditch, Queens Park, Kings Cross and Victoria so if you’re looking for a workout which doesn’t involve being shouted out by a drill sergeant or being forced to do wayyy too many push ups then this could be for you.

Finally it was time for my favourite part of any day… eating! A healthy lunch was laid on for us, think plenty of green looking juices which aren’t really my thing.  Thankfully it was salvaged by the delicious Light and Free yoghurt which was not a letdown and I helped myself to plenty of it!  Having sampled one of each flavour (yes, I am a piglet), I particularly recommend the Peach Passion Fruit.

You’ll probably notice this is the point at which all the bloggers are glued to their phones and cameras trying to get that perfect shot, after all that is why we’re here, and you got to do it for the Insta!

I hope you enjoyed this look into what I got up to with Danone at Frame.  As this is my first events style post let me know if you have any feedback, for example is there anything you’d like to know more or less of?  Or wether this is even something you want to see at all on That New Dress.

Finally I want to say thank you to Danone for having me.  It truly was such a fun event and I literally left bouncing for joy!

One of the perks of attending these kind of events is definitely meeting new bloggers. I’ve made great friends through them. Just keep doing what you are doing and I’m sure the event invites will start rolling in! xx
