I am continually on the hunt for a great quality but more affordable knitwear brand.  Up until now I've really struggled but I have finally found one!

Ooooh knitwear, knitwear, knitwear!  I just can’t get enough of it.  I’ve always been hooked but this year my obsession is on overdrive.

As you may know I’m a big proponent of investing in good quality knitwear.  I truly believe there’s no contest between beautifully made, wool/cashmere designs from high-end brands versus cheap polyester/acrylic versions off the high street.  I have raved about knitwear extraordinaire, I Love Mr Mittens, countless times but if you don’t know who they are yet I’ve written a full post about them HERE.

Their pieces are such an amazing investment and I wear mine season after season.  That being said, as gorgeous as they are I totally understand not everyone is going to want to spend £400+ on a cardigan or jumper.

I am continually on the hunt for a great quality but more affordable knitwear brand.  Up until now I’ve really struggled but I have finally found one!

I’ve talked previously about finding up and coming brands on ASOS before.  I don’t think ASOS is given enough credit for introducing and exposing new design talent.  Recently I wrote about a dress brand called True Decadence.  They do gorgeous dresses which are well priced and really impressive quality (catch it HERE if you missed it).

Well, if I was excited about True Decadence, I’m off the scale when it comes to Oneon.  Oneon specialises in chunky knits and cable jumpers which are handmade using traditional techniques in Greece.  They are currently exclusive to ASOS.

I’m going to be honest from the get go, these aren’t an alternative to I Love Mr Mittens, nothing can top them, but in terms of affordable knitwear, Oneon is the absolute best.  I just love their attention to detail, whether it be the addition of cable knit elements, bell sleeves or use of fringe and pom poms.  They add their own unique twist to traditionally made, great quality knitwear.

The other thing I really like is their colour palette.  I adore this soft pink which is even prettier in person.  They also do this jumper in a beautiful lilac which is currently on my wish list (see it HERE).  If you prefer a stronger colour palette, they do this black knit dress in the most amazing red too (see it HERE).  I’m also lusting after their teal designs (see them HERE & HERE).  Yes, I basically want it all!

Unfortunately, these do have acrylic in them which is how they keep the prices low.  However, they compensate for the 55% acrylic with 25% new wool and 20% alpaca.  If you’re sensitive to itchy wools there’s a chance you might not like these.  Personally, I don’t have a problem with it but for those with very sensitive skin, it’s something to bear in mind.

Compared to ASOS’s usual prices, Oneon is on the higher end.  They range between £110-£160 BUT ASOS currently have a sale one so this is the time to buy.  Some of them are an absolute bargain!  Both my pink oversized cable sweater and the black jumper dress are majorly reduced but be VERY QUICK as they’re selling like hotcakes!

  1. I also love a good knitweare and I love how it makes me feel comfortable, elegant and beautiful. I love both your outfits but I have to say that the second look is my favourite. Pink looks fantastic on you, you rock this color like a true princess.
    Have a fantastic evening.
    Greetings,
    Flo
