I've had to learn the hard way the best tips and tricks when flying with Easyjet, so I thought I'd share a few with you, just in case you ever need them!

I’m so excited because today I’m headed off to Mykonos for four glorious days! It’s my first holiday this year with no work involved, so I’m really looking forward to relaxing and catching up on some sleep.  Sadly, like all good things, you have to get through a little bit of hassle to get to the good part.  This trip involves a 4:30am wake-up call and an easyJet flight.

If you’ve never heard of easyJet they’re a budget airline with a less then good reputation.  The airfares are usually a bit cheaper than the likes of British Airways or Virgin Atlantic HOWEVER they hike up the prices by making you pay for check-in luggage, food, seat allocation and boarding passes (if you forget to print them at home).  Anyway, to cut a long story short, they’re not exactly a stress-free airline to fly with.

I’ve had to learn the hard way the best tips and tricks when flying with them so I thought I’d share a few with you, just in case you ever need them!

If you don’t want to pay the hefty check-in luggage fees it’s essential to remember you’re only allowed one piece of hand luggage and they are super strict on this.  This literally means one piece i.e. you can’t carry a handbag and suitcase.  I always carry a teenie tiny bag, such as a wallet on a chain.  This way you have easy access to your passport and boarding card but you can easily fit it into your suitcase during the necessary moments.  It’s usually when you’re boarding the plane they get super strict on your luggage allowance, so you can keep your little bag with you up till that moment.

If you simply can’t manage to squeeze everything in your suitcase, then this is a top tip!  Once you’re through security buy something in Duty Free and ask for a large carrier bag.  You can then pop all those extra bit and pieces in there.  For some reason, Duty Free carrier bags are an exception to the 1 piece of hand luggage rule.

I always find planes freezing cold, so when I saw this amazing snuggly ZARA jumper I knew it’d be perfect for the plane.  It’s literally like being wrapped in a super soft and cosy blanket.  I’m hoping it will help me get some sleep during the flight.  I couldn’t find a link to it on the ZARA website but I bought it in store only a week ago, so hopefully you’ll still be able to find it.

Topshop Krew Furry Mule

How cute are these fluffy mules!  I’m so in love with them, they just make me smile every time I look at them.  I think I’m going to be wearing them poolside when I get to Mykonos.

Now that I’ve got my EasyJet travel look down, I’m rushing off to the airport!  If anyone has any recommendations or tips on where to go in Mykonos please let me know.

  1. That outfit looks so comfy! I love everything fluffy, says the girl sitting here in the fluffiest bath robe of all time. I´m quite jealous of you because it´s getting quite cold here and I could do with four days in nicely warm Mykonos as well.
    Have a lovely holiday!

  4. I agree, easyJet is definitely the most affordable, although I wonder if the extra hassle of flying with them is worth it sometimes. Thank you so much for the comment Kay! Hope you’ve had a lovely week! xx
