Although the sun may have disappeared my love for this adorable top hasn't, so I've styled it up for the recent colder weather.

I do realise wearing the same thing on the blog twice is probably committing some kind of fashion blogging faux pas but I did warn you in another post (which you can read HERE) I wasn’t about to let go of this ASOS off the shoulder top quite yet.  Although the sun may have disappeared my love for this adorable top hasn’t, so I’ve styled it up for the recent colder weather.

Throughout the changing seasons, I’ve managed to wear this top so many different ways; on its own, layered underneath things (see HERE & HERE) and now layered over a polo neck.  I never thought I’d get this much wear out of it, as on face value it’s very summery.  By layering it over a polo neck it’s suddenly gone from summery to “winter appropriate”.

Personally I think the best thing about dressing for the colder weather has to be layering.  It really gives you that opportunity to play around with textures and mix different styles.  With layering almost anything goes, think lace with chunky knits, silk with denim or summer tops layered over polo necks.  Hopefully this will inspire you to pull something out of your summer wardrobe and layer it to be warm, cosy and winter appropriate.

Something else you may recognise is these Sam Edelman fluffy shoes which I wore in black HERE.  I have to be honest, the black ones have gotten a lot more wear as they’re just more practical, for starters they don’t get anywhere near as dirty as the pink ones, but even so how adorable are these in this colour!? Sometimes a girl just needs a bit more pink in her life and that’s why I had to have these shoes!  These are the most comfortable shoes ever and I can walk around London in them for hours with no issues.  Plus they actually give you a little bit of extra height as the sole is quite thick which in my book is always an added bonus!  Whenever I wear these, black or pink, I always get compliments on them which is always lovely.

  1. First off, I have to let you know that you probably have the most amazing shoe collection I’ve ever seen, HANDS DOWN! Girl, what size are you? You know you can just slide a pair my way that you no longer want 😉 LOL! All jokes aside, I love those pom sneakers, they look so good paired with the outfit! I agree, it’s all about the layering this time of year to extend the life out of our beloved summer pieces. I love when I see people wear the same thing more than once, I do it all the time and it’s definitely more relatable. I mean, who has THAT much money to only wear things once realistically!? Thanks so much for sharing, beautiful, and I hope you have the best weekend ahead!

    XO,
