Everything about this shoe label is absolute perfection! The quality, comfort and understated elegance means it reigns (at least for me) as the shoes of all shoes.
It will come as no surprise to a lot of you that Gianvito Rossi is a brand I love. It was my shoe brand of the year in 2014 which you can read all about HERE in my 2014 Favourites. Everything about this shoe label is absolute perfection! The quality, comfort and understated elegance means it reigns (at least for me) as the shoes of all shoes. As an obsessive shoe girl that is a BIG statement!
For those that don’t know much about Gianvito Rossi, he is the son of decorated Italian shoe-maker Sergio Rossi. After working for 20 years with his father, he struck out on his own in 2007. He quickly garnered a popular following for his elegant yet functional heels which lengthened legs with minimal pain.
My first pair and still my favourite style in his line is the Business Pump with an 85mm heel. They are without a shadow of a doubt the most versatile and comfortable heels I have owned to date. They look amazing with everything from oversized boyfriend jeans to a shift dress to even leggings. I’m not a day-to-day heel girl, as I always lean towards comfort, particularly when I’m in London and having to navigate the tube and busy streets. Having said that these are the ONLY shoes I feel comfortable running around the city in. When people ask me which designer shoe to splurge on this is always the style I recommend.
I must admit this lilac pair is looking pretty tired now but considering I’ve worn them to death and back, it’s a testament to their amazing quality, as they shouldn’t even be wearable at this point! I also have them in burgundy which you spot in a past blogpost HERE worn with a pretty, summer dress.
These booties are the first shoes by Gianvito Rossi I ever saw. I fell in love at first sight and seasons later they’ve become one of his most recognisable shapes. These are more expensive than his Business Pumps so it took me a while to take the plunge and splash out. These actually went on sale on Matches Fashion and that’s when I figured I should snap them up after a year of lusting after them. One thing I will say about Gianvito Rossi is they do seem to end up going into the end of season sales quite a bit. If you’re after a pair either try waiting it out or if it isn’t near sale season try places like YOOX, Polyvore and ShopStyle to help you hunt out some bargains. If you’re based in America I got these beauties seen HERE from Saks Off 5th and they were an excellent price for what they are, so definitely check out there too if you can.
Finally, I have no idea why but I currently have a penchant for cowboy style boots and these Gianvito Rossis had me smitten at the get go. When I wear them I don’t even know I am wearing heels. I could probably even do a hike in these with little to no trouble at all. Like the other styles I’ve spoken about already, these can be paired with absolutely anything and everything. My only critique is I’m not really a fan of suede shoes for the simple reason they’re not very practical, especially when you live in rainy ol’ England!
If you aren’t tempted by a pair of these after reading this there must be something wrong with you! since we’re reaching the final stretch in the January sales this is the time to buy and below has direct links to the best places online to find yourself a pair of Gianvito Rossi beauties. I promise you won’t regret it!

Shoes and handbags are the things I never splurge on. I don´t know why, really. But all pairs of these look absolutely amazing! I might have to finally get a job (which I want to anyway) to afford them but I think they´d be worth it. So maybe, these will be the first pair of designer shoes I own at the end of the year (fingers crossed!). Thank you for introducing me to these!
