The skinny jean is officially over which is wondrous news for all us pear shaped girls!
In case you hadn’t guessed already, I am back in Los Angeles for a couple more months.
Originally I thought my “LA look” would be distinct from my usual everyday (UK) look. You can catch my blogpost Everyday Uniform HERE which features my staple look when I’m on home soil. Having recently looked back at it, I think it’s fair to say they’re pretty similar. It’s evident I have a style and I stick to it!
Outfit Details: Jeans – J Brand (Find HERE on SALE) | Knitwear – Rebecca Taylor (Similar HERE (on sale) & HERE) | Shoes – Chiara Ferragni (find HERE) | Sunglasses – Matthew Williamson (find HERE) | Bangle – Whistle + Bango (find HERE and use code THATNEWDRESS10 for 10% off your order) | Rings – Wanderlust + Co (find HERE)
It’s currently “Winter” in LA which basically feels like our British Summer but it does mean I’ve been wearing jeans most days. One thing that has definitely changed since my last everyday look blogpost is my preference in jeans. The skinny jean is officially over which is wondrous news for all us pear shaped girls! These jeans are from J Brand and I’d say they are more of a “mum style” (the official style name is Jake in wash Broken), in that they are very high waisted and have a straight leg which I’ve turned up. This style is so much more forgiving than the skinny and far more comfortable, I’m delighted the denim tide has finally turned!
I definitely think I lean more toward colour when I’m out here. This sweater incorporates everything I’m currently loving; knitwear, oversized and my favourite colour, lilac. It’s the perfect jumper rolled into one!
My shoes are one of two pairs I recently got from Chiara Ferragni and I just love them. I will be doing a whole blogpost reviewing both pairs and showing how I style them. They are pretty wacky so I want to show how they can be worn a multitude of ways and just how versatile they are, so definitely watch this space for that.
