As is always the way when you decide to do something last minute, I had a sea of clothes on the floor trying to figure out what to wear! In the end I was rather happy with the final result despite throwing it together very last minute.
I thought I’d quickly share my New Years outfit with you. I had originally planned on having a quiet night in at home but at the final hour I decided to go to a friends party. As is always the way when you decide to do something last minute, I had a sea of clothes on the floor trying to figure out what to wear! In the end I was rather happy with the final result despite throwing it together very last minute.
This BCBG vest wrap dress has become recent wardrobe staple. I’ve worn out to meetings, lunch dates, dinners and now even parties. If you’d like to see the numerous ways I style it then let me know, as it’s amazing just how many ways this dress can worn. It does have quite a boxy shape which some people will find rather unflattering and I totally understand that but personally I rather like that straightly tailored, almost masculine type cut. Also, a dress with pockets is always good by me.
Saint Laurent has massively been championing stars the last couple of seasons and they are everywhere at the moment. The high street seems to be running full speed ahead with this trend and I must say they are doing a pretty good job. I adore this starry shirt from Topshop. I’ve had so much wear out of it and worn it with everything and anything. The shimmery stars gave the outfit a bit of a festive vibe, which definitely suits Christmas/New Year period.
My shoes you will either love or hate and when I posted them on Instagram they definitely got a mixed reception! Personally, I love them and think they are more like art than shoes. They are unique, fun and standout; everything I love and think fashion should be. The heel is incredible too, albeit a little hard to walk on.
