I couldn't help myself, I had to team this tweed with some pearls and a bit of Chanel!
The two piece really had it’s moment over the past year or so, particularly during the Summer. Just about every high street label was getting in on the action. If I’m honest I avoided them at all costs; purely because I found most of them a little too flesh baring for me. It was all a bit too much leg or arm or both on show and I felt like an expanding munchkin in any I ever tried on.
Although wearing a two piece during the Winter is a whole different story! When I spotted this tweed number in ZARA, I finally found one I could happily imagine myself in. It was also spurred on by the fact it is VERY Chanel-esque!
The shorts are high waisted, so great at keeping your tummy tucked in. Although it is the top which I really feel is the star. I know I’m going to be getting ample wear out of it, not just with these shorts, but with jeans, skirts and I’m even thinking over maxi dresses for that layered look.
I couldn’t help myself, I had to team this tweed with some pearls and a bit of Chanel! Lets be honest this ZARA ensemble is the closest I am going to get to the real mccoy so I may as well dress it up with some of my authentic accessories. Besides even cheap-y clothes can look a million dollars if you pair it with the right bag, shoes and jewellery!
My knee high boots are oldies but goodies from Stuart Weitzman. If you suffer from “shapely legs” i.e. big calves, like me, then Stuart Weitzman is the place to shop. Aside from their ever so popular 50/50 and Highland boots (which everybody wants!), they do the best designed elasticated boots. Somehow they brilliantly manage to avoid the granny-ish, outdated look. I would definitely recommend splurging on a pair if you have trouble finding knee high boots which don’t zip up. I promise you won’t regret it!
I love that you’re telling Simba to stay! 🙂
OMG how did you know?!?! Haha! xx
