The pearl embellishment is honestly on par with luxury brands and this jacket should be around the £500 upward mark but it isn't!
I’m kicking 2017 off with something special, my dream jacket. I’m a sucker for anything pearl-embellished but this is something else! Everything about it is incredible. The black velvet is really substantial and weighty. It isn’t like a lot of those horrible polyester velvets you often get. The pearl embellishment is honestly on par with luxury brands and this jacket should be around the £500 upward mark but it isn’t. This jacket is £185 which quite honestly is a bargain! Also, it’s lined with satin and it’s these finishing touches which make this a quality piece.
It’s from a brand I’ve recently fallen head over heels in love with called A Star is Born. They’re exclusive to ASOS and do the most incredible embellished pieces. As I’ve said the quality is impeccable and the pricing is so competitive. They do some jaw-dropping dresses, how beautiful is this one HERE and HERE? They also have a second line called
They also have a second line called Starry Eyed which is also exclusive to ASOS. It still centers around heavily embellished pieces but the overall look is much more casual, think joggers and sweatshirts. I also love that they cater to petite sizing as I’m on the short size so this is a real bonus for me.

I almost didn’t write about this jacket as it’s now sold out on ASOS but after some serious hunting around I managed to find one that looks exactly the same HERE. I would grab it pretty quick as I have a feeling it won’t be around for very long. I’m wearing a UK 8 but I think you could probably get away with sizing up with this. I’m currently really loving that oversized jacket look and I think this would look amaaazing worn oversized with a pair of boyfriend jeans and a killer pair of heels. That unexpected combination of glamour with a chic tomboy twist always looks awesome.
