LoveShackFancy has quickly become the must-wear brand of the summer.  Just about every blogger and fashion-obsessive has been rocking it and it’s not hard to see why.

Known for their floaty dresses and skirt/top combos, they epitomise shabby-chic fashion.

Over the last few months I’ve majorly fallen for their perfectly imperfect aesthetic and it’s floaty, feminine vibes.

This summer I’ve added a couple of their pieces to my closet and no word of a lie, I cannot stop wearing them! I’ve pretty much worn them on rotation for the last few months.

One of the great things about LoveShackFancy is just how easy it is to style.  I would recommend opting for one of their two pieces, as they’re SO versatile. They can be styled an endless number of ways.

Just in case you don’t believe me(!), I’ve put together a 3-part series of the different ways I’ve been wearing the coordinating long sleeve Florence top and the tiered Claire skirts.

This first look is all about how easy they are wear together.  I think there’s a misconception that LoveShackFancy is a “summer holiday” brand but it’s actually great for the city.

Of course, in classic me style, I usually throw a jacket over the top and it’s the ideal ensemble for a summer day in London (or any other city!).

The other thing worth noting is if you’re a fellow shorty (I’m 5ft 1) it’s quite hard to find a maxi skirt which doesn’t swamp you.  However, this one is an ideal length as it perfectly skims the ankle.

If you’re on the taller side, then you have the option of wearing the elasticated waist band on the hips for the full length.  Alternatively, if you wear it high up on the waist, then it works as a midi skirt.  Giving you two different ways to style it – I told you it was super versatile!

Stay tuned for look 2 coming in the next couple of days.  It will be about how I like to style the top without the coordinating skirt.

  1. This is such a beautiful dress! It’s super whimsical and floaty and gives off very prairie and summery vibes. In other words it’s a classic LoveShackFancy item! The thing is, however, I haven’t seen anyone else talk about this dress, so although it might have elements that are a signature part to their style, it’s a unique one! I love how you paired your Dior flats (or are they mules?) with the dress! This totally changed the mood of the outfit. Hope you had a great start to your week!

Absolutely adore how beautifully summery this look is, especially paired with that denim jacket – helps the look keep its edge. I totally agree with you that the skirt and top combination is ideal for city living and should not just be reserved for the beach. I’m really looking forward to the next look!

  3. What a beautiful outfit! I thought the separates were a dress at first, they work so nicely together and look great with your denim jacket 🙂

Hope that you are having a wonderful weekend! We had a busy day yesterday so a more relaxing day today is planned 🙂

You’re so right, it’s typical of LoveShackFancy. It’s actually a skirt and top, rather than a dress, but they do have a dress version of this too. So glad you like the outfit hun xx
