It's amazingly versatile and I've happily worn it casually during the day, at the gym or dressed up for dinners out.
Sooo my dream bag recently happened. I’ve been eying up a vintage Chanel backpack for over a year but either I haven’t had the funds available or the right bag hasn’t been up for sale.
In an ideal world I would have preferred it in tan leather but as it’s vintage there is a limited supply and an even more limited number of ones in a good condition. When I spotted this one on Vestiaire Collective it was an easy decision to treat myself. The condition was one of the best I had seen and although I would have liked to pay a little less, the price wasn’t too horrific.
It took a little over a week to receive it and when it arrived in the post I was like an excited little school girl. I had never been so happy to see the DHL man! The condition was even better then I expected and the leather was still buttery soft. It has even kept it’s shape despite it being from the 1990s. I really did luck out with this one! I have heard some horror stories regarding Vestiaire Collective but so far I’ve used them twice and both occasions have been an enjoyable shopping experience.
I love how many ways this bag can be worn. In fact, I generally don’t wear it in the traditional backpack sense, I usually carry it in hand or slung across one shoulder. It’s amazingly versatile and I’ve happily worn it casually during the day, at the gym or dressed up for dinners out. Plus the size is surprisingly deceptive and I can easily fit everything I need.
If you’re interested in finding one I suggest keeping an eye out on Vestiaire Collective, 1st Dibs or eBay (although please shop carefully and only purchase if you feel absolutely certain it is authentic).
