Hayley Menzies SHORT CAROUSEL CARDIGAN PINK/RED

I know it seems ridiculous to be talking about cardigans and knitwear when we’re in the midst of a heatwave but I’m so excited about this brand I recently discovered I had to share it ASAP.

Plus, they currently have a sale going on, so now is the time to bag yourself something beautiful with 30% off!

brands to look out for uk

I discover lots of brands through Instagram, which isn’t all that surprising given I spend a disproportionate amount of time on the app(!), but Hayley Menzies stole my heart more than most.  The divine prints, perfect colour combination and adorable fringe detailing is sheer perfection.

up and coming fashion brands uk

It was founded in 2011 by Creative Director Hayley Menzies, in my home and favourite place in the world, Notting Hill.  It is a contemporary women’s RTW brand with a focus on statement knitwear (although rumour has it the brand will be significantly extending their collection next season).

Hayley describes her designs as “modern effortless shapes, elevated with a fearless use of colour, print and embellishment with high quality fabrics and attention to technical detail to maintain the brands passion for luxury”.

Independent Fashion Brands Notting Hill London

Talking of luxury, it definitely has a high quality feel to it; the knitwear is a mix of cotton and cashmere.  The best part about discovering Hayley Menzies was the price tag was much less than I expected.  I cannot tell you how many times I get excited over a gorgeous independent brand, only to find the pricing is totally unattainable for me.

Prices range from £140-£290.  Personally, I’m more than happy to spend a few hundred pounds if I know I’m getting gorgeous quality which will last for years while supporting an independent brand and huge talent.

However, to make it even more affordable there is currently a 30% off sale taking place HERE.  I highly advise nabbing a bargain while you can.  I currently have my eyes on the Long Carousel Cardigan (see it HERE) and Zebra Jumper (see it HERE).  I’m almost certain one of these will end up in my closet before the sale is over.

Manolo Blahnik Mules Red

If you’re based in London, Liberty also has the Get Lucky Jumper (see it HERE) on sale with 60% off, but unfortunately it’s only available in store.

You can expect to see a lot of this cardigan in the Autumn, when I’ll be wearing it with anything and everything.

  2. Hayley Menzies looks fabulous! I’m always down for discovering new brands. I like that you included a bit of history about the brand, it’s always good to know exactly what you are wearing 🙂 In all honesty, I tend to wear cardigans in the summer more than the winter because there are times when I don’t want to wear pants or a long sleeve top, but it’s just a bit cool outside. Or especially in the evenings when it can be cool, it’s good to have an extra layer. I would not take this one off if I had it – fabulous and I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

  3. Beautiful photos and outfit!! It’s not ridiculous at all to talk about jumpers and knitwear, I personally bought 3 long sleeve tops yesterday and one jumper, they were discounted and crazy cheap so I couldn’t leave them behind. Looking fab in this outfit! x

  4. Oh, you found a really original and unique piece here, Dominique! I love the fun touches, such as the fringes, but I mostly love how well you styled it! I think I would have trouble with such a statement piece but you did a wonderful job! I love discovering new and independent brands on Instagram as well <3

I’m not a fan of fast fashion, I would rather buy 1 high quality piece then 10 cheap items, so I actually think this is really well priced for the quality xx
