Flatforms

Hallelujah I think I’ve found the perfect everyday shoe (especially if you are on the shorter side)!  I’ve been lusting after a pair of Joshua Sanders bow-wrap slip-ons for ages.  They are everything I love in a pair of shoes; a bold fashion statement combined with practical comfort and are perfect for day-to-day.  Talk about the holy grail of shoe design!  Sadly with a pretty hefty price tag I haven’t been able to justify purchasing them.

When I spotted these beauties in Kurt Geiger for half the price I couldn’t believe my eyes!  These are even better than the Joshua Sanders I previously wanted!  Not only are they the perfect trainer/sneaker style shoe with a statement they don’t compromise on comfort even the tiniest bit.  I love the urban cool vibe they have to them.  They’re perfect for city living, the grey flannel makes them sophisticated and work appropriate while the thick sole provides extra height but still comfortable to navigate the tube and busy streets.

This is my first ever pair of flatforms and I, perhaps like everyone else, had heavily associated them with the 90s and the Spice Girls but recently they’ve been given a whole new lease of life.  This cool style refresh means they’ve been labelled the must have shoe of the year and I can see why.  At 5ft1 I’m hardly the tallest in a crowd but with these I can add significant height without any uneasiness.  There’s no tottering about awkwardly or discomfort.  I am well and truly a flatforms convert!

Finally, as if I haven’t sung the praises of these enough already, I have to point out how they go with absolutely EVERYTHING!  Perfect for the office, lunch with the girls or out shopping all day.  In this look I wanted to smarten them up for a more workwear look but I’ll be posting a fun/casual look as well in my next post so you can really see just how versatile these are.

I know it makes me think of the Spice Girls too! I was so obsessed with them and would have given anything to be one but I guess this is the closest I’m getting! Haha! xx
