...they now hold a very special title in my wardrobe, the most expensive shoes I have ever purchased!
If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen these boots already as I recently took to the ‘gram to ask if I should keep them or return them. Despite listing the negatives such as the price tag which makes me feel sick and the fact we’re coming into Summer so boots will be a no no, the resounding majority said keep them. Obviously, I listened to my Insta fam and they now hold a very special title in my wardrobe, the most expensive shoes I have ever purchased!
I have admired these Louis Vuitton boots from a far for ages. They were worn in the Spring/Summer 17 runway show and that’s when they first caught my eye. I expected them to be the hot shoe of the season but they slightly fell off the fashion radar, so I forgot about them until I saw them several months later in real life.
Despite being love at first sight I had no intention of buying them to begin with. I just thought they were wayyy too expensive. However, the clever sales assistant encouraged me to try them on and as soon as they were on my feet I knew they had to come home with me.
The solid heel makes them surprisingly easy to walk in despite being so high. They make a perfect statement without being OTT. I just adore the way the leather has been shaped and that it’s taller at the front than the back, so you get that really beautiful cut out detailing on the side. Plus, you have that sculptural petal detail at the back. Whenever I buy luxury or expensive items I’m always looking for good design and I think these have been designed beautifully.
There are a number of different variations of this boot. Mine are the Gamble Diva Ankle in plain calf leather with a contrast nude front and the graphite black back with a touch of the LV monogram. However, if you love the LV print they also do a version which is exactly the same as mine but the front is all graphite black and the back has the monogram canvas. I wish I could pull these off, as I think they’re super cool but in the end, I went for something a little more safe and subtle.
If you want something super special then they have a number of different styles in exotic leathers which are a true feast for the eyes!
My only complaint is given the price and the fact they are a Runway piece, they should have come in a special shoebox, rather than just the standard one. I know that sounds really fussy but I’m a great believer when you buy super luxury, you should get super luxury everything, from the packaging to the service. Is that me being fussy or do you have the same outlook when it comes to shopping for special and limited edition designer? I just think it should be extra, extra special!
I hope you love these shoes as much as I do. I deliberately haven’t listed the price as it makes me feel ill just thinking about it(!) but if you want to find out more about them you can visit the Louis Vuitton website HERE. They’re still available in store but as they’re currently moving into the Cruise collection, stock is very limited so be quick if you’d like to see them in person. Although expect to fall in love with them!
