Their focus is on Slow Fashion, hand craftsmanship, individuality and green production.

One of the best parts about working in fashion is getting to unearth fantastic and unique design talent.  I’m always on the look out for that next thing which will take my breath away.

When I discovered Fashion Crossover London who supports emerging designers I knew I had found something special.  They’re an online concept store specialising in emerging designers from the East.  They handpick innovative and independent designers from different cities across Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.  Their focus is on Slow Fashion, hand craftsmanship, individuality and green production.

Asian design has always appealed to me because of my personal connection.  My mum is from Hong Kong, making me half Chinese and half English.  Like many things coming out of Mainland China, their fashion aesthetic is ahead of the curve, so Fashion Crossover is definitely worth having on your radar.

I adore this tapered single breasted jacket from the immensely talented designer, Shur Ruitz, which manages to be tailored and fluid all at the same time.  It’s one of those versatile pieces which can be casual or formal and statement yet understated.

This can be styled so many different ways, check out my post, “1 Dress, 3 Ways” to see how you can reimagine a single piece to suit a multitude of occasions.  It really is an investment piece you’ll wear time and time again.  I’m a fan of wearing it open to give it a more fluid feel but if you prefer a more statement tailcoat look then it also looks fab with the buttons done up.

My shirt is also from Fashion Crossover London.  I have a major shirt obsession. I’m a firm believer you can never go wrong with a crisp white shirt but I always look for one which has a twist on a classic style.  This asymmetric wrap style shirt really has that wow factor.  I’m loving it layered over denim flares at the moment.

If you love something a little more unique and like me, you’re really beginning to focus on quality investment pieces rather than high street one hit wonders, then I really recommend checking out Fashion Crossover London.  Some of my favourite designers worth keeping an eye on are Shur Ruitz, Tian Tian and Rhapsody in Forest.

Plus they have free UK delivery on all orders and free returns, what are you waiting for?!

  1. I absolutely adore your style! And what an excellent discovery. I can’t tell you how it warms my heart to see a blogger promoting slow fashion and brands that are green. That jacket and shirt are so unique and still look classic. And you styled them beautifully with the flared jeans and statement shoes. I’m loving that bag too! Sigh!
