Bellami Beauty Bar Review

The Bellami Beauty Bar is (according to them) where hair dreams come true.  Bellami Hair has earned itself a reputation of offering the thickest and best clip in hair extensions in the business.  Having heard people rave about them both sides of the Atlantic, I figured I would get myself down to their beauty and blending bar on Robertson, West Hollywood.

Walking in it is everything you would expect from an LA hair bar.  It’s painted bright pink, with an outlandish crystal chandelier and rather plush workstations with large white leather chairs.  The products are mostly kept behind glass cabinets but there is a hanging rail with all their extensions which you can rifle through at your leisure.  Not knowing what I really wanted I headed straight to the receptionist desk for a complimentary colour match.

We tried several different colours ranging from bright pink ombre to a more subtle balayage.  The girl was very patient and helpful, pulling out lots of options and offering great advice as to which would blend best.  I then opted for the Blend Mi Style Mi Clip-Ins Installation where they fit the extensions and cut them to blend with your natural hair.  They also talk you through how to fit them yourself.

And here are the finished results:

It was a definitely a fun and “very LA” afternoon out, I doubt you’d ever find a place like this in London.  I was delighted with the finished results and had so many compliments.  One of my only gripes was the lack of atmosphere.  I went there on a Saturday expecting it to be quite busy but I was the only customer for the entire hour and a half I was there.  The girls were mostly doing each others hair to pass the time and boredom.

It is also VERY expensive.  The extensions range from $119 to $310 and the cutting and blending was an additional $125.  By the time you’ve added extra tip you’ve spent a crazy amount of money.  However, if you want the very best, then hands down this is the place to go.  The selection is second to none and the whole place is geared up to clip in hair extensions so they’re as specialist as it gets!

I wore my clip ins on Halloween which you can see them HERE.
