I had to write a post about the amazing restaurant we headed to last Saturday evening while in Copenhagen, called Llama.
It was a full on triple threat – potent cocktails, yummy food and a vibrant atmosphere.
We started with a cocktail, or two…
After propping up the bar for long enough and enjoying the jazzy tiles covering the floor and walls we took our seats in the restaurant. It was buzzing with groups of Copenhagen’s most fashionable crowd (it was Copenhagen Fashion Week while we were there and everyone seemed to have descended on Llama!).
These plantain chips were the yummiest thing ever. My friend was saying you can find them in the UK, so I’m searching – do let me know if you know where to find them. They were so good I had to ask for a second bowl!
The dishes are best shared so we started with 3 yummy starters… Tiger prawns, Quesadillas and Padron Peppers.
We gobbled them up quicker than you can say “scrumdiddlyumptious”.
For Mains we enjoyed sea bream with yam puree and pico de gallo, crispy pork with black beans, chorizo and bacon and crispy potatoes with yucca root and chorizo crème.
I’m not a big pork fan but after having a bite of this I couldn’t believe it, it was literally melt in the mouth, amazing yumminess! I never thought I’d order a pork dish but I’d happily gobble this all up if I went back!
After ample food we were just too stuffed for dessert (very unlike me!), so instead we headed back to the hotel in the sub zero night time weather and enjoyed a little bit of window shopping.
I was definitely feeling a lot like Baymax from Big Hero 6 after too much food!
