My friends and family still coin me as having quite quirky and "out there" style and I think a lot of this comes down to my obsession with shoes.

Every girl has a weakness; for some, it may be makeup, others it is handbags, some it might even be bad boys but for me it is shoes.  I am a shoe girl through and through.  As I’ve talked about in my recent post, How I Afford Luxury (catch it HERE if you missed it), I will go without in order to get myself a pair of shoes I’m majorly lusting after.

Some of you may have noticed shoes are where I tend to make a statement and I do love myself a bold shoe.  You only need to look at some of my previous posts HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE to see when it comes to shoes I go bold.

Despite being a fashionaholic I usually play it quite safe with my ready to wear.  I usually (but not always) tend to avoid colour or anything too outrageous.  Give me a perfectly fitted pair of jeans and a great quality shirt and I couldn’t be happier.  Even so, my friends and family still coin me as having quite quirky and “out there” style and I think a lot of this comes down to my obsession with shoes.

Personally, I think there is nothing chicer than a pair of incredible, statement shoes.  My love of shoes pushes me to be braver, as I think when you love something you’re more likely to experiment and embrace new things.  If it’s different and unique to any other pair I’ve seen, it’s very likely to peak my interest.

The great thing about bold shoes is they don’t need to be super high with an unwalkable heel.  In fact, I prefer a flat, so any shoe which has a uniqueness to it and is flat gets my vote!  Colour, embellishment, sparkle and fur, in my eyes, are all potential components to the perfect statement shoe.  If my feet turn heads then I know my outfit is on point.

Pokemaoke is a recent discovery of mine and they design the most beautiful shoes.  They are known for their crazy and incredible embellishments, whether it be silk flowers, pearls, crystals or feathers.  The minute I saw these shoes I knew I had to have them.  I love the way they have updated the classic brogue with these uber feminine floral embellishments.  It’s the perfect unique twist on a classic style.

If, like me, you’re always looking for unique and beautiful footwear then I highly recommend checking out some of these gorgeous brands:

  1. Bold shoes are so great! I tend to play it very safe with my shoes but I’m interested in being a little more quirky. I’ve always admired Korean, Japanese and Chinese girls, they always have such cute and quirky shoes!

Loving your outfit, your blouse is cute and the shoes give the outfit an extra pop. xx

I love how you choose to be flamboyant when it comes to footwear! I’m totally the same, though it seems to apply to heels-only with me – I have a bit of an obsession with stiletto heels, haha. Looking so lovely and chic in this look, by the way!!

  3. Shoes are my weakness too! As my mother pointed out, I’m like Mark Zuckerberg, I always buy the same shirt, jeans, and even shorts but when it comes to shoes, I go for unique styles. The bolder the better 😀 And yes, I just clicked the link where you bought those shoes because I love them as well. They’re very cute 🙂
