I umm’d and errr’d about these Gucci clogs for weeks before I took the plunge and bought them.  I asked pretty much everyone for advice from my friends, family and on Snapchat.  Almost everybody came back with a defiant do not buy them, they’re so ugly!  Although me being me, once I get an idea in my head it’s almost impossible to get rid of it and these were continuously playing on my mind so in the end they had to be mine!

You’ve probably seen every blogger and fashionista wearing the Princetown mule version of these.  I absolutely love that style and to begin with they would have been my first choice.  However, I managed to get the clogs for 50% off, despite them still being current season, which in the end tipped me towards them.  I’m going to be writing a whole post soon on how I managed to bag these at such a bargain price plus a whole host of other luxury items I’ve got cut priced, so definitely keep an eye out for that.

In hindsight, I’m so happy I went for the clogs over the mules for several reasons.  Firstly, they’re that bit more unique. As I mentioned, the mules are being worn by everyone at the moment.  Secondly, they’re more winter appropriate.  I currently wear these with skirts and tights all the time but I’m not sure the mules would work so well in the winter.  They’re definitely more of a Spring/Summer shoe.  Also, they clogs are much more a statement shoe!  They look fabulous with absolutely anything and are that perfect finishing touch.

Now I’ve mentioned the many good points, there are a couple of things to bare in mind if you’re thinking of getting yourself a pair.  The sizing is a little on the large size so I would suggest sizing half a size down.  Secondly, I think this is true of clogs in general, but these aren’t the easiest the walk in.  The strap at the back is definitely a huge help at keeping them on your feet but they’re still quite cumbersome to walk in.  I wouldn’t go as far as to say they’re uncomfortable as I wear them all the time but they’re a bit like that feeling when you’re wearing a pair of high heels and you need to think about how you step.

Anyway having said all of that I still adore them and plan on wearing them constantly, I just like to keep my thoughts as fair and balanced as possible for those who might be considering treating themselves to a pair.
