With the changing seasons come not only a change in wardrobe but also a change in scents!
There has been a huge seasonal shift in the weather the last couple of weeks and I’m loving it. I think we can say spring has officially sprung! With the changing seasons come not only a change in wardrobe but also a change in scents! These are my top 5 favourite perfumes for Spring:
This is a very personal scent because it reminds me of my brother and sister. We are all obsessed with Parma Violet sweeties which generally you either love or hate! This is those sweeties in liquid form. It’s incredibly sweet, a touch musky with a tiny a little bit of citrus. Although it has notes of geranium, bergamot, lemon, sandalwood, cedarwood and musk, the overall smell is very much that recognisable singular violet note. It’s also worth noting Penhaligon’s perfume bottles are gorgeous and definitely dressing table worthy!
I love rose scents so I’ve done my research and tried lots but this is definitely my favourite. It’s not a super sweet overbearing rose smell, it still has a slight earthy tone to it. Although it still manages to be very fresh and because it is an Eau de Toilette it has that lightness to it. Notes are Musk, Cedar, Honey, Damask Rose, Centifolia Rose, Lychee, Blackcurrent, Bergamot.
Hermes – Un Jardin En Mediterranee
This is my third bottle and I absolutely love it. I would happily wear this all year around because it is quite musky but it also has a freshness to it, so it’s probably most suited to the Spring. Strangely I don’t hear much about this perfume despite it being incredible! It has very varied and unusual notes including Cypress, Fig Leaf, Cedar, Pistachio, Orange Blossom, White Nerium Oleander, Mandarin, Bergamot and Lemon. Basically expect woody undertones with divine citrus top notes.
Jo Malone – Earl Grey & Cucumber
I’ve talked about this perfume before on the blog because it’s my absolute favourite. This is another scent l wear all year around because it is so unusual it works across the seasons. The best I can describe it is as fresh, lively and curious. Notes include Bergamot, Cucumber and Beeswax.
Jo Malone – White Jasmine & Mint
I have to be honest and say most Jo Malone scents are a winner for me. So it’s no surprise this is the second Malone perfume on the list. White Jasmine & Mint manages to be gorgeously fresh and crisp but still quite sensual. Notes include Mint, Jasmine and Mate Leaf. This is the most spring/summery scent I think I have ever smelt.
Let me know if you have any other great Spring perfumes I need to check out!
