Beauty Empties

I always like an empties post because it’s all well and good saying you “like” a product but actually using every last drop proves it!  This is particularly true when you’re a beauty blogger.  There are plenty of products I love but because I’m constantly changing up my routine to try something new, often even the ones I like eventually get pushed to the back of the beauty cupboard and forgotten about.

Charlotte Tilbury – Magic Cream

When I first tried this face cream I wasn’t completely convinced by it (you can read my initial thoughts in my full review HERE).  However, after a bout of dry skin this was an absolute saviour.  It kept my skin nourished and hydrated when I really needed it.  This is such an amazing quality cream and is an affordable alternative to Creme de la Mer.

Charlotte Tilbury – Airbrush Flawless Finish

This is hands down the best powder I’ve ever used and pretty much caters to everything you could ever need.  It’s perfect over makeup, on its own or dusted over the T-zone for eradicating any shine.  The powder is so finely milled it blurs seamlessly over any imperfections and lines to create a perfect cashmere veil with minimal caking.  In case you’re wondering I wear shade 2, Medium.

You can read more about it in one of my early blog posts (talk about a throwback!) HERE.

Fresh – Sugar Plum Tinted Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15

I truly love this product.  It’s moisturising, long-lasting and has the perfect amount of tint.  I suffer from bouts of really dry lips and this is my saviour.  I’ve also the tried the Rose version too but personally, I think Plum is the standout shade.  The colour payoff is much better and the subtle shine gives the effect of lovely plump lips.

Caudalie – Grape Water

This is such a multi-use product and I used it every single day till it ran out.  I mostly used it after cleansing as a very quick and easy toner.  It’s super hydrating which I really like as sometimes toners can be quite striping.  The other thing it’s great for is a quick pick me up during the day.  I can often spend hours indoors in front of my laptop and by keeping this on my desk, a quick spritz helps to keep me refreshed and revitalised!

Sarah Chapman – Skinesis Overnight Facial

Not only is this a fantastic product but it lasted forever despite only being 15ml, so you get amazing value for money from this.  I’m a big fan of overnight serums and masks but this outshines them all.  I used this three times a week and on the mornings after my skin was noticeably brighter and more radiant.  I also found it balanced my skin very well.  My skin can shift between being very dry to oily and this was excellent at helping keep it in check.

Rituals – Mild Exfoliating Body Scrub in Organic White Lotus & Yi Yi Ren

I only had a travel sized sample of this but I had to include it as I was literally squeezing every last drop out of it.  As a body scrub it is good.  The granules are a good size and it doesn’t leave a greasy residue but it is the scent which really made this standout.  It’s such a unique and sophisticated smell.  The white lotus is beautifully subtle and the best way I can describe it, is it smells “peaceful”.
