Wedding season has officially begun, although fear not, as I’ve already done all the required dress research and found the perfect one.  Over the years I think wedding attire has become a lot less glamorous and dressed down.  Despite this I’m still a big advocate of going all out, even when you’re just a wedding guest.  If you’re lucky enough to be invited to someone’s big day, personally I think you should mark the occasion by wearing the prettiest dress you can find (without upstaging the bride, obviously!).

I think this dress from Little Mistress has it all.  It is absolutely stunning!  The skirt has so much volume and fabric to it, you can’t help but feel like a queen in it and the way it sashays when you walk is perfection.   I know it’s white which can be risky at a wedding but the embroidered pink flowers detracts from it being to wedding dress-esque.

Also, the cold shoulder frill sleeves couldn’t be more on trend at the moment.  As if all that isn’t enough, I think at £120 it’s really well priced given the quality and that it will see you through a multitude of summer events.

Comfortable shoes are an absolute must at a wedding.  Without a shadow of a doubt my go to comfy heels are Gianvito Rossi.  Yes, they are on the pricey side but your feet will be thanking you after 4 straight hours of dancing the night away.

I think that’s the one thing people always forget about when dressing for a wedding, yes, it is important to look fabulous but it’s also essential to be comfortable.  Weddings go on all day and if you’re struggling within the first hour, you’re in for a longgg and not so pleasant day!

  1. Oh my, this dress is absolutely stunning! I´m sure it´d be perfect for a wedding without stealing the bride´s thunder! I really wish I had a wedding to go to now so that I´d have a reason to buy this dress.
