If you don't know Rixo, I can guarantee you will have seen someone wearing it without even realising it.

Every now and again you get a brand which pops up out of nowhere and is suddenly being worn by absolutely everyone.  I feel like the last brand to do this was Self Portrait and now it’s the turn of Rixo.

If you don’t know of Rixo, I can guarantee you will have seen it on someone without even realising it.

Rixo is a contemporary womenswear label founded in London in 2015.  It has enjoyed meteoric success.  This is predominantly due to their gorgeous and easy to wear statement clothes but also, their mid-tier prices, which makes it accessible to a broad audience.

Their overall aesthetic tends to be flow-y silk dresses and skirts in statement prints.  They’re known for pieces which easily transcends day-to-night and casual-to-black tie.

I’d been admiring the brand from a far for the last year but finally found it impossible to resist any longer.  I have the signature Camellia dress which they bring out season after season in various prints.  As a star-fanatic I couldn’t resist this beautiful midnight sky-inspired print from last season.

If you’re looking for an all rounder dress this is a great option.  It’s effortlessly easy to dress up or down.  I tend to wear it with my trusty blazer and a pair of boots during the day and then will throw on a pair of heels to instantly have the perfect evening look.

This dress retails for £305 which is along the same lines as the premium end of the high street.  It’s 100% silk and beautiful quality.  Given the number of different occasion you can wear this, I think it’s a really good wardrobe investment.

My only gripe with this particular dress is it’s very booby.  I’m quite flat chested but I’m still conscious of my boobs being on show to the world.  If you have a mid to large bust you might struggle with this.

As a general rule of thumb, if you’re larger busted I would avoid anything Rixo do with a V-neck as it always seems to be very low.

This season they’ve done the most stunning tulip print which is high up on my wish list and worth checking out HERE.  I’m also in love with this rainbow stripe which is well priced and so beautiful, see it HERE.

Next time you pass one of their concessions (they are in most department stores) or you’re having a cheeky online shop I highly advise checking Rixo out.

  1. Ahh yes, Rixo! I feel like the brand is similar to LoveShackFancy in the sense that suddenly everyone is raving about it, they have flowy clothing, lots of dresses, beautiful prints, and mid-range price point. The main difference in my opinion is the style of the two. LoveShackFancy is more whimsical and has lighter and more floral tones where I find Rixo always has darker tones of black and navy blue as the back/main colour of their design and the other colours are always or at least tend to be brighter and more abstract. Both are great brands and I think Rixo would be especially good for the fall!

You’re so right about this brand – whilst I didn’t actually know the name I have seen it just about everywhere! You look absolutely gorgeous in this dress, the print is so divine!

Totally agree with your comparison between LoveShackFancy and Rixo. Rixo is more of a brand which can be worn all year around, whereas LoveShack is more summery xx
