Second to London, New York is my favourite city to shop in. Not only is the selection incredible but there are always great promotions or discounts to take advantage of.

My recent New York trip already feels like a lifetime ago, even though I only got back 5 weeks ago.  I didn’t blog any of my trip, as I was there for work and my schedule was pretty manic.  Plus, despite my business and blog being very much intertwined, I’m trying to learn how to compartmentalise the two, otherwise, it all gets a bit chaotic!  However, I am planning some travel-related content on the blog soon, so watch this space!

Anyway, back to New York.  Of course, I made time for a little shopping and I thought I would share my New York haul.  Second to London, New York is my favourite city to shop in. Not only is the selection incredible but there are always great promotions or discounts to take advantage of.  I arrived in New York at the very tail-end of January sales, so everything I purchased was reduced, which was a bit of a result!

I’ve divided this haul into 2 parts, my high street buys and my luxury buys.  I’m kicking off with high street as these were some serious steals which I’m majorly in love with and wanted to share ASAP.

Free People – Lace Tunic

About 2 years ago, Free People was one of those hot brands everyone was going crazy over, so I’ve been keen to try it out to see what all the fuss is about.

When I spotted this peach lace tunic I was instantly smitten.  I knew it would be a perfect layering piece and, as you probably know, I am obsessed with layering! You can catch my A-Z Guide to Layering HERE.

I initially tried it on in navy blue (see it HERE on SALE) and this peach shade.  Although peach isn’t my usual, I just love how it looks with muted grey tones and light-wash denim.

This was a bargain, it was reduced from around $128 to $64.  I definitely think it’s one of those pieces I’ll get plenty of wear out of, especially in the summer months.  It currently comes in loads of gorgeous colours (see them all HERE – I’m obsessed with the Dune and Saffron colourways).  If you’re tempted by it, I’m wearing a size S which should hopefully help you with sizing.

Outfit details: Lace Tunic – Free People (find HERE or HERE in blue on SALE) | Jeans – Mother Denim (similar HERE on SALE or similar from the high street HERE) | Boots – Balenciaga (find HERE & HERE in white) | Bag – Givenchy (similar HERE & HERE)

& Other Stories – Star Print Blouse in Red and Black

I don’t know why I haven’t spent more time in & Other Stories before.  I’m totally obsessed with them at the moment.

When I popped into the New York store I didn’t look at any of the full price items, as I think it’s cheaper in Europe than the US.  However, I did have a rifle through the sale rail.

I immediately fell in love with these two shirts with the most gorgeous star and moon print on it.  They really reminded me of RIXO London, which is one of those brands at the moment which everyone seems to be loving and wearing.  See it HERE if you don’t know the brand I’m talking about.

Happily, these & Other Stories tops were a fraction of the price compared to RIXO London.  They were on sale for $25.50, plus I got an extra 10% off.  I cannot tell you how much I have worn them since I bought them.  They are constantly in and out of washing pile at the moment as they’re getting worn so much!

Outfit details: Top – & Other Stories (similar HERE & HERE) | Oversized Cardigan – I Love Mr Mittens (find HERE in burgundy or knit your own HERE) | Skirt – ASOS (find HERE) | Boots – Pretty Little Thing (find HERE) | Bag – Christian Dior (find HERE in black & HERE in orange)

I love how versatile they are.  I’ve worn to meetings, shopping, brunching and out for fancy dinners.  They’re perfect for dressing up or down.  I’ve tried to style the red and the black versions differently so you can see how good they look with either a skirt or with a pair jeans.

Unfortunately, these are totally sold out but you need to check out these absolutely gorgeous pieces I’m majorly lusting after HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

I hope you enjoyed the first instalment of my New York haul and stay posted for the second half which will be live very soon!

Outfit details: Top – & Other Stories (similar HERE & HERE on SALE for a BARGAIN price!) | Jeans – J Brand (similar HERE on SALE or similar from the high street HERE on SALE) | Shoes – Versace (find HERE in black or similar from the high street HERE) | Scarf – James Perse (similar HERE & HERE) | Bag – Chanel (similar HERE & HERE)

  1. That first Free People blouse is my favourite! They’re all cute, but I like that one the most, but I might be swayed by the outfit as I love what you put together. Your Pandora box bag is gorgeous too. How are you getting on with that one? I’ve been eyeing it for a while but was never sure about getting one. I just ordered the Gucci GG Marmont Mini in Black Velvet which I’m eagerly awaiting lol!
