Linen and basket bags are my style staples this summer and no one, and I mean no one, is doing them better on the high street than Mango.

We all know, love and rave about ZARA but recently Mango has been outdoing even ZARA in the high street style stakes.  I’m not sure how I managed to let Mango pass me by for so long but since rediscovering it last year, I’ve been amazed by their designs and quality.

Linen and basket bags are my style staples this summer and no one, and I mean no one is doing them better on the high street than Mango.

Let’s be honest linen has to be one of the most impractical fabrics going, despite this, it is back with a bang for Spring/Summer 2018.  Whether it be trousers, a dress or skirt, you need something linen in your wardrobe.  If like me, you’re not keen on spending big bucks on something you’ll probably only wear for one season, then Mango is definitely the place to go.

Also, it’s worth noting, linen is a delicate fabric.  It will pull, lose its shape and crease beyond repair if it’s overly washed and starched, which is another good reason not to invest too heavily in it.

At the moment I’m rocking linen trousers rather than a dress or skirt, despite the short-lived heatwave we’ve just had, the warm weather hasn’t fully reached us yet in London.  These trousers are perfect for that smart casual look.  They can be worn for work, relaxing in the park or for lunch with the girls.  In this post, I’m wearing them for an easy going, day look but last week I paired them with a black top and leather jacket for something edgier.

Amazingly, I only discovered how amazing Mango’s bag selection is last month.  It takes a lot to get me to wear a bag from the high street, as I tend to invest in designer bags and prefer to wear those.  However, Mango currently have at least 5 or 6 which are majorly on my wish list.  Check some of them out HERE, HERE and HERE.

Also, if you are basket bag-aholic, like me, then you need to check these ones out HERE, HERE and HERE.  I also adore this one HERE which reminds me of the monkey one I bought from Kate Spade last summer and got an amazing reaction on the blog.  Click HERE if you don’t remember the bag I’m talking about.
