THE HIGH STREET SHIRT WE ALL NEED!!

Nothing beats finding a high-street hero which looks like it should be from some fancy and expensive brand but is actually so purse friendly it makes you giddy.

As we all know I love a white shirt but this isn’t any ol’ white shirt! It has ruffles, the most incredible statement sleeves (if you like a bell sleeve, you can’t get better than this one!) and an open back.  It just about hits every big trend going for only £45!

Even though this is a major statement piece, I like it most when it’s dressed down with jeans and trainers.  As you’ve probably come to learn, my style is to make everything casual!  I’m the firm believer, dressing comfortably, doesn’t mean forgoing style.  Whether it be a long evening dress worn with a chunky knit, a lace skirt with a denim jacket or a statement shirt with trainers, there’s always a to reimagine and tone down statement pieces.

Having said all of that, this would also be a fabulous as a “going out” shirt with a pair of black tailored cigarette pants and some very sexy black patent stilettos.  However, my point is, it doesn’t need to kept solely for glamourous occasions.  Instead, it can (and should) be worn everywhere and anywhere, wether it be to the shops, at the beach or to a fancy dinner.

Let’s just talk about the back for a moment.  Not only am I head over heels for the open back but the two ribbons are the piste de resistance.  You can make the back as open as you like depending on how tight you knot them.  You can tell a lot of thought went into the placement and width of the ties, as the bottom one is positioned perfectly to cover your bra strap.  For someone like me, this is such a relief as I have to wear a bra, I just don’t feel comfortable not wearing one.  If you’re bra-less type of girl, you can easily go without too.

In a nutshell, you’d be mad to miss out on this amazing shirt.  It is the bargain of all bargains.  It looks like it should be from a brand stocked on Net-a-Porter but instead it’s from the high street.  If that’s not enough, it has just gone and sale! Find it HERE and snap it up quickly!

    How did you know I need that shirt? Seriously, it is so chic and fun. And you’re right, you can wear it either casually or to dress up. The strategically placed strap in back is also a selling point for me. I love your style and totally relate to your weakness for white shirts!
