Does anyone else have days when the only solution is an all black outfit? Well, post-Christmas “all black” is the only thing I want to wear.  I definitely indulged way too much in December and this January I’m paying for it, so I’m sticking with my “all black” safety blanket which helps to hide a multitude of Christmas sins!

These cropped pyjama style trousers are the sale find of the year.  The flattering tailoring is amazingly good for the price tag.  These don’t have much hanger appeal but when you put them on, they look much expensive than they actually are, so much so even my mum and sister bought a pair!  My only bug bear about them is the zip is a bit of a faff and keeps getting stuck but I’ll take a little bit of zip trouble for inexpensive trousers which look super high-end any day!  If you’re looking for some elegant trousers which will take you effortlessly from day to night, then for £22.50, you can’t do better than these.  Find them HERE.

While I’m on the subject of must haves, these glittery boots from ZARA have served me so well over the last few of years.  Whenever I wore these in a blog post, I always struggled to find any good alternatives except at Saint Laurent who do similar, like these ones HERE, which are stunning but not exactly affordable.  However, this winter the high street is awash with them and there are plenty currently on sale.

These boots literally go with everything and are a perfect statement without being too attention-grabbing.  Click HERE to see them styled completely differently and see what they look like teamed with a dress.  I’ve linked a few of my favourite pairs from ASOS (HERE & HERE), Kurt Geiger (HERE & HERE) and Topshop (HERE), but if you’re after a pair be quick as they’re all on sale and sizes are limited.

I’ve received so many questions and comments about this ZARA shearling coat since I posted about it HERE. I still think it’s the best coat/jacket on the high street.  I’ve had so much wear out of it as it’s just so easy to throw over absolutely anything.  A lot of people asked if the interior is shearling lined and yes it is, which makes it incredibly warm and cosy.  By the time I’ve walked to the underground station, got on/off the tube and come back to ground level I’m literally sweating!  This will definitely keep you snug as a bug in a rug!
