What's in my travel makeup bag

I may have mentioned once or twice already I’m going to Dubai on Friday, well expect to hear about it a whole heap more as the holiday countdown officially starts from today.  For the rest of the week I’ll be blogging all about those travel essentials, top flying tips and dressing for long haul flights.  Hopefully, all this travel talk will push you to book your own little getaway because if there is one thing I know, it’s we all need a sunshine break every now and again!

In the first post of the series I’m sharing “What’s in my Travel Makeup Bag”:

The fabulous Dubai heat will mean my makeup will most likely be sliding all over the place which is never a good look.  So my first makeup essential is my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser.  It’s oil free and contains SPF making it much more sunny weather proof.  I’m hoping after catching some rays that summer glow will do most of the hard work and a tinted moisturiser will be more than efficient!

Powder is a necessary because the heat makes my skin considerably more oily.  To keep shine at bay Charlotte Tilbury Air-Brush Flawless Finish Skin-Perfecting Micro-Powder is my favourite.  Its finely milled powder provides a flawless finish with absolutely no caking.

Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Skin Illuminator is perfect to add that summer glow and a must have wherever I am in the world.

Concealer is an obvious need to have so I am covering all bases with Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer and Charlotte Tilbury The Retoucher.

I did a full review of the Collection Eyes Uncovered Palette in yesterday’s post (click HERE if you didn’t catch it).  It’s a perfect travel size and I love the colour selection which will see through day to evening.

The MAC Cheeky Bronze Mineralize Skinfinish is my favourite bronzer for travel.  It is so glowing and offers just the right level of sparkle and highlight.  It’s also really buildable making it perfect for nights out!

For a nice rosy cheek I use MAC Powder Blush in Mocha, it’s a shade I’ve purchased over and over.  It’s so wearable and has a gorgeous warm hue.

I think it is fair to say I’ve got eyeliner-a-plenty! It’s always good to have a selection and I’ve got it covered with Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner Black, Oligo black liner pencil, L’Oreal Colour Riche Le Khol pencil in White and a MAC Superslick Liquid Eye Liner in a gorgeous metallic Olive shade.

My travel size Estee Laudre Sumptuous Extreme mascara isn’t necessarily my favourite but it’s a perfect travel size and no bother if it ends up getting lost.

Eye primer is a must have in hot weather if you don’t want your eye makeup running all down your face.

My MAC eye brows pencil is one thing I could never go without no matter where I am.

I am a lipstick queen and so I thought I did quite well whittling it down to just 4.  I am taking with me MAC shades Velvet Teddy, Plumful, Twig and Costa Chic.
