There is no denying this in an incredible quality cream; it smells beautiful, is rich in oils and melts into the skin leaving a lovely satin sheen.
Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream has been on my wish list for a quite while but after a recent bout of problem skin I’ve been wary to add any new products into the mix. Also, at £70 a pot I really didn’t want to splash out just to find out it wasn’t right for me.
Happily however, I found myself the perfect compromise in the NetaPorter Beauty Kit. This is NAP’s version of a beauty box which they’ve stuffed full with 9 luxury products, of which the Magic Cream was one. As a side note if you’re looking for a nice pick me up treat the Beauty Kit is definitely worth checking out!
As this contains SPF it is essentially a day cream but it’s incredibly thick and I knew straight away it’d be too heavy for me during the day, so I substituted it with my evening moisturiser. There is no denying this in an incredible quality cream; it smells beautiful, is rich in oils and melts into the skin leaving a lovely satin sheen. If you like Creme de le Mer, you’ll probably love this. Plus it’s much better priced, £70 for 50ml as opposed to £105 for 30ml.
BUT (and this is a big but) if you have oily to combination skin this is NOT for you. While my skin felt well nourished, softer than usual and free of any angry blemishes but my T Zone was horrifically oily. I was having to use those oil absorbing sheets throughout the day to get rid of the shine. If you have dry skin this is a must try but if not I would advise to steer clear.
