Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation Review

It wasn’t long ago I posted my recent Sephora haul (read HERE) and while I discovered several winning products, one really stood out.  The Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Coverage Foundation may be a real mouthful to say but it is my favourite foundation hands down.

It’s worth noting I’ve never previously found a foundation which has really stood out to me.  I find they either feel caked onto the skin or the coverage isn’t sufficient, or it all slides down my face before the end of the day.  Not to mention the clogged pores, aggravated sensitive skin and horrible breakouts I’ve suffered.  So this Tarte foundation was a welcomed surprise!

It provides a long lasting buildable medium/full coverage.  During the day you’ll probably find you only need a thin layer but it’s nice to know you have that full coverage option for either a night out or on those days you’re feeling particularly grey and drab! The other thing worth raving about is it doesn’t budge all day, even if you’re prone to oily skin like me!  It also has SPF15 and a wide ranging colour selection.

I also bought the Tarte Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush which at the time felt like an extravagant purchase but I’m so glad I did!  It covers a huge surface area and the dense bristles blend the foundation onto the face flawlessly with such ease.  I also love what a solid and sturdy brush it is!  If you’re thinking about purchasing the foundation DEFINITELY treat yourself to the brush too.

If you usually struggle with finding a good foundation I really recommend this one.  To be honest I don’t have a bad word to say about it!
