I feel like the essence of Kate Spade is a really chic outfit paired with some with bold and statement accessories.

I’ve fallen completely in love with Kate Spade this year.  It’s a brand which had been on my radar for years but I’d never properly considered.  Perhaps because it is far more recognisable in the States than either the UK or Europe.

In a way, it reminds me of a cheekier and more colourful version of Anya Hindmarch.  Although they are both quirky and playful with their designs; Anya Hindmarch has a slightly older, more sophisticated aesthetic.  While Kate Spade is much more colourful and younger in its appeal.

Given my LOVE of Anya Hindmarch it’s only to be expected I’d eventually fall for Kate Spade too (you can read about my Anya Hindmarch obsession HERE).

Despite occasionally checking out Kate Spade’s super cute website or popping into their gorgeous flagship store on Regent Street, it wasn’t somewhere I’d go to spend my hard-earned cash.  Then one day, totally out of the blue, I stumbled into their tiny store in Westfield and had a huge splurge all in one go.  It’s been a true love affair ever since and very bad for my bank balance!

My Kate Spade monkey wicker bag is a huge hit every time it gets featured on the blog.  I absolutely adore him, he is the perfect statement piece (check out how I’ve styled him previously HERE & HERE).

Yes, he is a little on the whacky side but during the summer when I was going to garden parties and summery weddings he was a great conversation starter.  Even when I’m not wearing him, he gets prime position in my wardrobe, as he just makes me so happy every time I look at him.

My most recent acquisition is this gorgeous watch with a little French Bulldog on it.  As a crazy dog lady, how could I resist?!  I think he has the sweetest little face and I love how it tilts from side to side.  Also, as a total convert to gold hardware, it’s great to finally have a watch with a gold face.

As a side note, if you know someone who adores dogs, or better still Frenchies, this would be such a perfect gift.  Sorry to bring it up but Christmas is only 8 weeks away.  Now is the time to either start making hints about what you want or begin to make notes on what to buy others.  Plus the Watchshop currently has 20% off this particular watch (click HERE to check it out).  Happy days!

I also have to mention Kate Spade’s clothing, as their ready-to-wear is so gorgeous and elegant.  I feel like the essence of Kate Spade is a really chic outfit paired with some with bold and statement accessories.

My black and white peplum top is from Kate Spade and I have to give it 10/10 for quality and versatility.  It was such a great buy as it’s so easy to dress up or down.  I think a lot of people go to Kate Spade for handbags, accessories and jewellery but I would highly advise checking out their clothing too.

  1. I wish that I could find Kate Spade clothes here, but no. I can find only jewelry and bags, but someday! I’m quite scared ordering them online since my body type is “inbetweener,” so I need to test everything first. I haven’t found a site yet who would ship to Finland with a free return if the clothes don’t fit. But one day!
